Mammoth Networks Ushers in Simplified Private-Line Transport

Mammoth Networks has announced simplified private-line telecommunications for Internet Service Providers. Mammoth's Private-Line Transport solution melds data circuits from select carriers and delivers Service Providers a one-stop solution with a single point of contact. The company uses technologies such as MPLS and ATM to Ethernet cross-connects to combine multiple connections into private-line services that span the continental United States.

Denver, CO (PRWEB) May 8, 2008 -- Mammoth Networks has announced simplified private-line telecommunications for Internet Service Providers. Mammoth's Private-Line Transport solution melds data circuits from select carriers and delivers Service Providers a one-stop solution. The company uses carrier and telco meet points to provision private-line from point A to point Z throughout the continental United States.

Mammoth has the ability to deliver private-line via traditional Time Division Multiplexing (TDM) at Layer 2, or can combine differing types of transport as private, sub-Layer 3 connections. In the case of TDM circuits, the company maximizes carrier hotels and Central Office (CO) meet points to eliminate points of failure and reduce exposure to downtime for Mammoth's Service Providers.

"The value we're bringing to a Service Provider is flexibility," states Brian Worthen, who heads up product development for Mammoth. "While GigE is the future, it isn't available everywhere. We can take a traditional circuit in a rural area and convert to a GigE once it hits a metro market."

The company touts the ability to combine differing types of transport within it's network to deliver a seamless solution to an End User. An example would be an ATM DS3 in rural Idaho that Mammoth carries to Seattle WA and cross-connects to a local Gigabit Ethernet circuit to a corporate Headquarters. By virtue of an ATM to Ethernet cross-connect, Mammoth delivers a private-line solution that combines an older technology with that of a newer technology. The company has recently adopted MPLS to enhance the company's support of private, point-to-point transport.

Mammoth builds private-line using the network of three carriers, leveraging the capabilities of all involved to deliver a single-source solution for Service Providers. The company acts as a single point of contact for troubleshooting and billing, thereby simplifying private-line for their customers.

Mammoth Networks is an aggregator of data services, serving fourteen Western states with their layer 2 DSL network and the contiguous lower 48 states with their private-line solution. Mammoth's DSL footprint reaches more than 830 towns and cities, and more than 14,000 subdivisions and business parks. Mammoth enables its Partners by erasing the invisible lines of the telecommunications structure, and leveling the playing field for Internet Service Providers. The privately-held company is based in Gillette, Wyoming.
