Association of Virtual Worlds Launches Global Ambassador Program
As an industry association with a global reach, the Association of Virtual Worlds has launched a global ambassador program and has invited members from all corners of the world to serve as Global Ambassadors for their country or region of the 'physical world.' Global Ambassadors are recognized representatives of the AVW for purposes of raising public awareness concerning virtual worlds in their location and for purposes of informing AVW membership on items of interest happening in the Global Ambassador's location.

Global Ambassadors are recognized representatives of the AVW for purposes of raising public awareness concerning virtual worlds in their location and for purposes of informing AVW membership on items of interest happening in the Global Ambassador's location.

What does a Global Ambassador do?
A Global Ambassador, in his or her 'physical' location, talks about the AVW, invites people to become members of the AVW, informs AVW leadership of media, sponsorship, events, and other opportunities for the AVW to spread its message in his or corner of the world. The Global Ambassador also posts, in a 'group' on the AVW's Business & Social Network, news concerning virtual worlds in his or her location and periodically blogs on virtual worlds related topics in his or her location of the world. The Global Ambassador, therefore, provides a service both to the community in his or her physical location and to existing members of the AVW.
