Any Company, Group, or Person Will Receive a Free Press Release for Helping MCR Alert the Web about the Myanmar Tragedy
Last week's cyclone in Myanmar (Burma) has killed over 100,000 people and left a million homeless. Myanmar Cyclone Relief is using the latest web tools to alert the world FAST about what is needed and how to help. Companies, groups, or individuals who help will get a free press release.
Bonita, Calif. (PRWEB) May 12, 2008 -- The World Mind Network is an online organization that seeks to introduce the latest Web 2.0 tools into education. They have a special interest in disaster relief in the developing world. With today's blogs, social networks, and other technologies, human beings have the best opportunity in history to spread the word fast about what is needed to help victims.
They want to know everyone's thoughts about the cyclone in Burma, and specifically how everyone can use internet tools to tell everyone they know. Their blog is worldmindnetwork.net/cycloneinmyanmar. They want reports on what has worked and what has not. They want suggestions, comments, and questions. There are links on the blog to Aid organizations which are already in the field.
Ideas will be given to people who can benefit from them, and will also be archived so that they can be useful when the next natural disaster occurs.
Then they will, if desired, submit a press release on behalf of each organization telling the world what has been done.
MCR can be reached at myanmarcyclonerelief @ gmail.com.
