Fort Wayne, IN (PRWEB) June 16, 2008 -- Bethel Woods Center for the Arts has enlisted Babicz Guitars USA to create a custom collection of Bethel Woods Limited Edition guitars. The guitars commemorate the grand opening of The Museum at Bethel Woods and the start of the arts center's 2008 performance season. Bethel Woods Center for the Arts is a $100 million outdoor performing arts center and museum at the site of the original 1969 Woodstock festival in Bethel, NY. Set within nearly 2,000 bucolic acres, the Pavilion Stage covers 4,500 seats with another 10,000 on a natural sloping lawn, offering unique backdrops including the original festival site. The Museum at Bethel Woods explores the unique experience of the Woodstock festival, its significance as a culminating event of a decade of revolutionary music, radical cultural transformation, and will also help preserve the historic site on which the 1969 Woodstock Music and Art Fair took place.

Music history repeats itself. Gerry Foundation Chairman, Alan Gerry, said, "Bethel Woods is deeply committed to supporting local talent and industry, and is pleased to be working with the award-winning team at Babicz Guitars. Their commitment to quality and excellence matches our own, and is evident in each of the exquisite instruments they have developed for us." Jeff Babicz, CEO and chief product designer, stated, "We at Babicz are extremely happy to be named the official Bethel Woods guitar source. No one person is responsible for this fantastic achievement -- this is a total team effort by many professionals in both companies. It seems particularly fitting that a revolutionary guitar represent the innovative musical history of the Woodstock heritage."

The guitars were personally hand selected by Jeff Babicz and customized with the Bethel Woods logo. Each features a Dreadnought Cutaway profile with solid Javanese Rosewood back & sides, a solid Engelmann Spruce top in a custom Teardrop Tobacco Sunburst satin finish. All have the award winning L. R. Baggs "iMix" dual pick up system built in, and are supplied with a deluxe hard shell case. And every Bethel Woods guitar features Babicz Guitars icZ Acoustic System technology.

Babicz Guitars USA is taking the lead in guitar technology. The Babicz "icZ" Acoustic System consists of three patented technologies incorporated into the design of each guitar. The Lateral Compression Soundboard, the Variable Set Neck, and the adjustable Torque Reducing Split Bridge all combine to provide enhanced resonance and sustain, improved ease of play, and proper intonation throughout the life of the instrument. Numerous design awards, industry publication reviews, and famous musicians and artists attest to the superior tonal quality in the higher-end guitars crafted by Babicz Guitars. They include Todd Rundgren, Tim Orindgreff of Black Eyed Peas, King Crimson's Adrian Belew, and Mick Jones of Foreigner, to name a few.
