The Oscar and Grammy winning composer and actress has been developing a girl band called "Hot Caramel" and much of the music features songs produced, written and played by Cara and the women in her band. Although the record will be promoted as Adult Contemporary, there are some terrific classic rock re-makes as well as acid jazz, hip-hop and R&B ballads featured on the CD simply named, "Irene Cara Presents Hot Caramel."
Song Hits Radio in June
Hot Caramel is a combination of eclectic and talented musicians, producers, song writers and vocalists. Hot Caramel blends hip-pop, R&B, Rock, Jazz, Latin Dance and soul to generate a unique sound setting them apart from the more manufactured girl groups out today. The debut album is called Irene Cara Featuring Hot Caramel and is due out end of summer. The first single of the album is called, How Can I Make You Love Me, which is being released to radio the first week of June.
