Where is the Cheapest Petrol this Summer?

Keepmoving.co.uk, the UK's premier motoring and traffic website, will be helping drivers ease their credit crunch worries by letting them know where the cheapest petrol is, anywhere in the UK, as fears rise that petrol could cost as much as £1.50 per litre this summer.

London (PRWEB) July 24, 2008 -- Keepmoving.co.uk, the UK's premier motoring and traffic website, will be helping drivers ease their credit crunch worries by letting them know where the cheapest petrol is, anywhere in the UK, as fears rise that petrol could cost as much as £1.50 per litre this summer.

Members of the site will be able to check petrol prices on a route they set up, or check the cheapest petrol price on or within one minute of the M6 or any other road. The new and free-to-use "Fuel Saver" tool, to be launched on the website on Friday 25th July will tell consumers where the cheapest unleaded, diesel and super unleaded are located on any road in the UK.

They'll also be able to check how much they'll be saving, by comparing the cheapest and most expensive prices on their route.

Keepmoving.co.uk general manager Alex Petrie says, "Due to the credit crunch and the rising cost of fuel, drivers are going to be look for ways to tighten their motoring spending. Our new free tool will help everyone plan their holiday route - planning their fuel expenditure as well as avoiding traffic hotspots for an easier ride. A lot of stations may raise their prices in the midst of summer, and hopefully this tool will help the consumer shop around for the best deal on their driving route".

The new tool will provide consumers with:

  • Over 9,550 daily updates to petrol prices
  • Petrol stations plotted on Google Maps and full addresses given
  • Different grades of petrol prices offered: unleaded, diesel and super unleaded petrol
  • Prices for all major service stations are covered including BP, Shell and Texaco as well as smaller chains and hundreds of independent stations
  • A completely free and easy to use service
Keepmoving.co.uk is the UK's premier traffic alert website and also provides users with CCTV traffic images, free SMS alert service, live eyewitness reports, real-time updates on traffic situations, discounts on airport parking and hotels; and is completely free to use.

Fuel Saver launches 25 July 2008
