In only two years, MaddMann has brought SPATE Magazine to great popularity, including interviews with DJ Khaled, LL Cool J, 50 Cent, Nicki Minaj, Khia, Pitbull, Slim of 112, and many more. SPATE magazine is now a staple in the entertainment business. Not only did MaddMann co-found SPATE magazine, he is also an award winning rap artist. He was nominated in August 2008 for two awards at The Underground Music Awards; One for Most Original artist and the other for Best Performance. He ended taking home the award for best performance.
Many were very surprised at how MaddMann built such a strong fan base so quickly. MaddMann quickly caught the attention of the industry's top A&R who are constantly watching his every move. Founding a Hip Hop magazine, then successfully his own Hip Hop career, MaddMann was just getting started. The second cartoon caught the attention of 50 Cent's website thisis50, and was placed on the front page. The cartoon was an instant success with over 50,000 views in one week. Media quickly became interested in MaddMann and he was featured on allhiphop, worldstarhiphop, Yo raps and many other websites.
Following up that successful cartoon, Maddmann did a version with LiL Wayne portrayed in the cartoon. Within a week that cartoon also received thousands of views and he again was hailed as being one of the most creative Hip Hop artists of today. If that is not enough to end the year, MaddMann is releasing his much anticipated first single, "Its My Party". The song will be available at iTunes and other major online retail locations through a new record label, SPATE Digital, that was recently started with his partner Antoine King.
