University Language Services Announces Annual Scholarship Competition for Students

If you are a student who has lived or studied outside of the United States, University Language Services wants to hear your story. Submit your essay about your educational experiences for a chance to win a $500 scholarship.

International students as well as US students who have studied abroad are invited to enter University Language Services' 2nd annual scholarship essay contest.

Submit an essay of no more than 1,000 words answering the following question:

"When you arrived in the US after studying for two or more years in another country, what did you expect from your US college, university or high school? Have your expectations been met?"

One grand prize winner will earn a $500 scholarship. Three runners-up will receive $100.

Past winners have included students from Yale University, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Florida International University.

Essays must be submitted by February 28, 2009. The submission form, contest rules and past winning entries are online at http://www.universitylanguage.com/scholarships/competition/.
