InventHelp®, America's largest inventor service company, announces that one of its clients, an inventor from Tucson, Ariz., has designed a multi-function gardening tool for home and professional use. This invention is patented and a prototype is available.
The "3 In One Gardening Tool" would enable a user to rake, hoe and cut weeds and rocks with one tool. The invention could eliminate the bother of carrying several different tools, which could reduce time and effort spent on yard work. The unit would save storage room and be easy to use.
The 3 In One Gardening Tool would consist of a long-handled tool that would feature a rake, hoe and weed-cutting head, which would extend from a command shank. The invention would measure 60-inches long, 16-inches wide and 4-inches high. A rubber collar would be positioned atop the wooden handle. Two supports would extend diagonally from the bottom of the shaft and connect to wider points of the tool head. The rake could be used in a conventional manner. The left edge of the rake head (when the tool is oriented in its working position) would be modified. Several of the left tines would be fused together to create a solid square for use as a hoe. A user would turn the tool onto its side so that it can be used in the same manner as a conventional hoe. The third component of this tool head - the weed cutter - would extend from the top of the rake head (when the tool is in its functional position.) The weed cutter would have a squared-edge, inverted "U"-shape. An individual would flip the tool 180 degrees from its standard, working position to use the weeding component. The sharp edges would be used to cut the roots of a weed. The user would then insert this part of the tool into the ground around the weed and pull upward to remove the weed.
