Live online sales training is rapidly gaining traction among high-growth businesses as a way to supplement, enhance and extend existing live onsite training programs, according to a survey by BizTechReports.Com (http://www.biztechreports.com) sponsored by Citrix Online, (http://www.citrixonline.com). The results of the survey are explored in an executive webinar that can be accessed at:

The webinar discusses findings that show a commitment by dynamic small- and medium-sized organizations to ongoing training. It is seen by respondents as integral to keeping sales teams in tip-top closing shape. This is becoming especially important for organizations that operate in dynamic environments in which competitive and market needs change often. Survey found that:

  •     78 percent use live-onsite training to develop skills of the sales team.
  •     57 percent use live-online training to develop skills of the sales team.
  •     56 percent report that they have integrated onsite and online training to develop skills of the sales team.
  •     65 percent plan to invest more in live-onsite training in 2009.
  •     70 percent plans to invest more in live-online training in 2009.

These are among the central findings in a survey of 223 executives at high-growth companies conducted by BizTechReports.Com between August 18 and September 5, 2008. The results of the study indicate a growing consensus that more training conducted on a more frequent basis is especially important for organizations that are seeing the size and complexity of their transactions rise.

"The results of this survey offer the latest evidence of just how sophisticated high-growth SMBs are when it comes to applying technology to advance their business objectives. Even in a tough economy, business owners and managers are creatively exploring the options for using new computing and communications resources to improve their effectiveness," says Lane F. Cooper, editorial director of BizTechReports.Com and author of the study.
