With the ever-tightening credit requirements in today's real estate market, finding qualified homebuyers seems to become more difficult every day. If there was ever a time when Real estate agents needed assistance finding new clients, it's now. In November 2008, Bill and Don introduced HomesForSale.net into the online real estate market as a means to help Real estate agents and brokers connect with potential homebuyers & sellers in their area. The original business model was simple; when website visitors on www.HomesForSale.net performed a search for homes for sale in a particular city, they would be directed to a agents website who specializes in that city. Once on the agents website, the potential homebuyer could continue their search for homes and become acquainted with that Real estate agent (or broker). The Real estate agent need only pay a modest monthly fee for the highly targeted website traffic, which can be tracked and monitored for effectiveness.
While this business model was simple enough, it didn't cater to the thousands of agents who wanted to promote their services but didn't have their own website with MLS database access. Therefore, Bill and Don incorporated a Real estate agent Directory into the www.HomesForSale.net website. Organized by city for easy searching, the Real estate agent Directory allows for one photo or logo, a short biography, and contact information of the agent or broker. "An additional benefit of the Real estate agent Directory is that it gives potential homebuyers the ability to choose a Real estate agent from a list, greatly adding to the overall value of the website" adds Don Guy, cofounder of HomesForSale.net. He continued saying "We believe that keeping the website resourceful, yet user-friendly and clutter-free, will encourage repeat visitors and be one of the key ingredients to the website's success".
