"Trying to find a quality store that has good customer service and isn't always trying to up-sell the customer is difficult," said site owner Marilyn Urbanski. "I just wanted to have a store that could provide good electronics for people without having to pressure into buying accessories that they normally wouldn't need."
Urbanski launched Wonderland Electronics in November 2008 and due to her honest nature and great prices, it's well on its way to becoming a bookmarked favorite in its own right.
As the site progresses, Urbanski confesses that it's also a learning process for her. "Electronics are really fun and cool, but I think for me, the most beneficial part of starting this store is researching and seeing the different gadgets out there on the market. I love the learning aspect of it."
To keep a sense of balance, Urbanski also has a blog (www.DigitalCamerasAndElectronicsBlog.com) that has several product reviews, as well as features about the items that are carried on her site.
Though the holiday season is coming to a close, electronic devices are often sold throughout the year, so even though people may come across WonderlandElectronics.com after December, it's never too late to discover it and its prices.
"You know, I just wanted to offer something to the public that wasn't an attempt to rip them off," Urbanski said. "I really think that once people log on to my site and compare the prices to other retailers, as well as the service, they'll see that we're much more personable."
