Huntington Beach, CA (PRWEB) January 5, 2009
David McNeil, "Eye on Business" (EOB) executive producer, announced that the latest segment of the show focuses on the child protection organization, Child Predator Busters. Child Predator Busters was founded by Sher LeFever, also the owner and CEO of the Confederate Starz Artist Management Agency in Arizona.
LeFever's passion for this project began many years ago when she discovered that a so-called family friend named Derek had victimized her three children for four years. After fighting an uphill court battle for a year and a half, Derek was sentenced to prison for twenty-five years in the Arizona Department of Corrections.
A couple of years ago, hundreds of miles away, LeFever's granddaughter was molested by another predator named Paul. LeFever helped with that court case and Paul was sentenced to 15 years in the Arizona Department of Corrections. Being involved in those two cases had made LeFever very well educated in both the laws, law enforcement policies and respected and educated in the judicial systems. On March 24, 2007, Sher discovered that there was a predator on MySpace, so she did some research and gathered all four of his websites on MySpace, along with his prior convictions, and submitted all of it to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI). The GBI forwarded her letter to the Gordon County Sheriff's Office.
On April 4, 2007, LeFever received an email from the Georgia Authorities informing her that the predator was in custody. His pending charges are a probation violation, because he was not allowed to use a computer, and another probation violation because he did not comply as a convicted sex offender. Detective Bill Soulios of the Gordon County Sheriff's Office was instrumental in the arrest.
Based on her success in working with the authorities, LeFever developed Child Predator Busters. The goal of the organization is to protect children from predators. The message to the public is that if anyone sees anything suspicious online that looks a predator could be targeting children, the link should be sent to the organization to investigate. Child Predator Busters will deliver the information to the right authorities in the proper agencies and also work with the families and law enforcement to advocate the cases. LeFevre's mission is to help other children and families so that they don't live through the same nightmares that she suffered through. The mission of the organization is to assist all levels of law enforcement by providing them with leads and gather enough information to give them convictable cases.
Rick Borgia, a successful New York actor, is the national spokesperson for Child Predator Busters. Another supporter for the organization is Mark Barnes, an award-winning musician from Maryville, Tennessee.
