Feng Shui Institute International Announces New Board of Directors

Feng Shui Institute International has elected members for 2009-2010 Board of Directors.

Feng Shui Institute International (FSII) is proud to announce the election of the 2009-2010 Board of Directors.

FSII's new Board of Directors are:

President - Diantha Harris, FSII, ASID, IACT, IAC & FSIA Faculty
Diantha Harris is President and founder of Life Potentials Network, Inc. in Michigan. She has spent nearly 30 years studying and working with feng shui, color and interior design. Diantha is the author of Simply Color and Sad Sandwiches. In addition, she is a frequent contributing writer to many publications, has appeared on cable TV in Chicago, been interviewed for several articles, and appears regularly as a guest columnist in the Chicago Sun Times commenting on the color of clothing worn by celebrities. Diantha has a BA in Oriental Art History from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois. She has professional certifications from several programs and academies including the Denise Linn School of Interior Alignment, The International Academy of Colour Therapeutics, among others. Some of the events she has presented at include: The Chicago Design Show (featured speaker on color), Infinity Foundation (many workshops on feng shui and color), Parker School (Chicago), Traverse City Natural Health Expo, Pine Hill Wellness Expo, and the International Conscious Design Expo (2007).

First Vice President - Jodi Price, O.D., FSII & FSIA Faculty
Jodi is a doctor in Optometry. She has added the designation of feng shui practitioner to her credentials when she experienced for herself, the health benefits realized from her own personal consultation. Jodi is a graduate of the Feng Shui of Institute of America. Being a doctor in the field of eye care, she is researching the impact that the sense of sight has on the overall healing process. Jodi concentrates her feng shui outreach to all of Ohio.

Second Vice President - Martha Britt, FSII & FSIA Faculty
Martha has a wealth of professional experience in the allied fields of social work, marketing and design. Martha presented "Metal to Water - Responding to Loss & Navigating a Personal Health Crisis" at FSII's 2007 bi-annual conference. Currently, she is preparing a paper on "Using the Facial Action Coding System (FACS) in the Feng Shui Consultation." She studied at Parsons the New School for Design, the New York School of Interior Design and she holds degrees in Communication Art and Design from Virginia Commonwealth University School of the Arts and in Sociology from Roanoke College. Based in Tennessee, Martha is the editor and publisher of the FSII quarterly newsletter "WindWater" and she is a lecturer for the weekly FSIA Student Tele-classes.

Secretary - Joy Sue-Priem, FSII, CSID, ASD & FSIA Faculty
Joy, one of Florida's first certified feng shui consultants, started her career in display. After achieving the top position in her field, she moved to New York City to train in 5th Avenue display. Joy helped found the design department for B' Altman. After five years in New York, she returned to Florida to open a mixed media studio and design firm where she learned firsthand the importance of ergonomics in the workplace. Joy served as a consultant with Discovery Channel S.A./Iberia, Miami and the world headquarters. Her international client base includes residential and corporate spaces, studios, galleries, shops and kiosks; many have been featured in prominent publications. Joy has also presented at AIA, ASID and FBA events.    

Treasurer - Robyn Nist, FSII
After a creative journey, Robyn discovered Feng Shui. She realized that this was the perfect fit for her lifelong interest in interior design and her holistic view points. Certified by the Feng Shui Institute of America to practice Pyramid School Feng Shui, Robyn serves clients in the Northeast Ohio area by conducting consultations for businesses, commercial, and residential clients. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. Robyn has over 18 years of experience in industry, retail and the medical fields. During her career working in industry she had opportunities to negotiate a steelworkers union contract and become a trainer and facilitator in team systems.

Board Member - Jeanne McLaughlin, FSII, BBEC & CERSA
Jeanne specializes in creating healthy spaces naturally, using the principles of Feng Shui and Building Biology, for consultations, home inspections, lectures and seminars. She is also certified as a Building Biology and Environmental Consultant (BBEC) and a Certified Electromagnetic Radiation Safety Adviser (CERSA). Jeanne lives in a "Beyond Green" log home in the woods with a trout stream running through the backyard in Pennsylvania.

Board Member - Carolyn Thomas, FSII & Arq.
Carolyn is a recently certified member based in Florida. She is owner of Feng Shui ArQiTect, LLC and has been a registered architect in CODIA for 20 years, with experience in commercial and residential architecture in the US and the Dominican Republic. Since 1982, Carolyn has designed tradeshow and temporary exhibits in the US and internationally, having successfully integrated Feng Shui into these spaces for greater commercial results. Her international exhibits have been featured in various trade publications. Currently, Carolyn's focus is on incorporating Feng Shui into residential and commercial design, interiors and space planning for the affirmation and enhancement of the inhabitant's intentions, health and happiness.

Board Member - Nancilee Wydra, FSII, FSIA Faculty & Feng Shui Master
Nancilee is a Pyramid Feng Shui Master and founder of Pyramid School of Feng Shui, the Feng Shui Institute of America, and developed the first nationally approved program for professional training in the field of Feng Shui. She is the most published American author on feng shui with 8 books and writes a regular column, Rx's 4 Living! Nancilee holds degrees in both Psychiatric Social Work at New York University and Interior Design from New York School of Interior Design and has done additional study in City Planning at Rutgers University. She has taught Feng Shui since 1974. Nancilee has developed national professional courses for both the American Society of Interior Designers and the American Institute of Architects. She has taught, lectured and written about the person-and-place connection for over 20 years.
