Hugo S. Subotovsky AIA Architects Promotes Aufgang to Partner, Vlaovich to Associate

Promotions Indicative of Continued Growth and Success at New York-Based Affordable Housing Architecture Firm. Of particular interest - at 29, Ariel Aufgang is now one of the youngest partners of a medium sized architecture firm in the New York area.

Hugo S. Subotovsky AIA Architects LLC, a full service architecture and planning firm with offices in New York City and Suffern NY, has promoted Ariel Aufgang, AIA, NCARB to the position of partner.

Since 2006 Aufgang has served as an associate with the company coordinating workload and resource management. He has also been integral in the firm's ability to find added-value for their clients through creative planning, zoning and land-use modification such as re-zonings and height authorizations.

"Ari is detail oriented and a passionate architect. His ability to inspire his team to perform to their maximum level on every project makes him the kind of leader that can help us maintain the level of success we have enjoyed, as well as take us into the next phase of growth in the coming years" Hugo Subotovsky, company principal, said.

"I have a passion for contributing to the creative and efficient development of our cities to enhance the quality of life of the people who live in and around our buildings. We are dedicated to the continual improvement of both our built and non-built environments" Aufgang said.

Aufgang has more than 10 years of experience in architecture, design and planning. He has been involved in the development of well over 10,000 units of affordable housing in the New York metro area as well as a number of mixed-use, commercial and market rate housing projects.

He earned a bachelor of architecture degree and a bachelor of science in Building Science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He is a registered architect in New York, is NCARB certified and is a member of the American Institute of Architects.

As a further demonstration of their continual growth and dedication to meeting their clients' needs, Steven Vlaovich has been promoted to the position of associate. Steven has been with the firm for more than 11 years, most recently working as Project Manager on the 14-story Boricua College Vertical Campus in the Bronx.
