In September, the nonprofit announced the Earth Day Everyday contest, which invited children ages five to 14 to submit drawings with environmental themes for publication in the Chuckie Goodnight Foundation For The Environment's 2009 Earth calendar. "We received an overwhelming response from children across the country," said Cherie Ingraham, founder of the Chuckie Goodnight Foundation For The Environment. "It is exciting to see how passionate children are about preserving and protecting Earth. We received so many great pieces, we wish that we could have included all of them!"

The calendar is printed on recycled paper with vegetable dyes in keeping with the Foundation's Earth friendly mission.
