Internet Video Archive's Vide Detective to Enhance Macrovision Data Solutions' Offerings with Movie Trailers and Television Previews

Agreement With Internet Video Archive Provides Macrovision Data Solutions With Access To One of The World's Largest Collections of Trailers

Haddon Heights, NJ (Billboard Publicity Wire/PRWEB ) January 13, 2009 -- Internet Video Archive (IVA), distributors of one of the world's largest libraries of movie trailers and other video assets, today announced that it has reached an agreement with Macrovision Solutions Corporation whereby IVA's Video Detective LLC will provide its video assets to enhance Macrovision's data solutions powered by TV Guide and AMG. Through the agreement, Macrovision will now be able to offer its data customers in North America virtually any movie trailer or television preview.

Macrovision's flexible data infrastructure is designed to integrate and aggregate additional data and content such as Video Detective's movie trailers and television previews which allows for many customization opportunities for businesses licensing Macrovision's data solutions. The agreement with Macrovision is the latest for IVA, the archive of record for the entertainment industry with more than 500,000 unique video assets.

"The demand for interactive rich media content continues to grow online, with mobile and now IPTV," said Rhodes Mason, Director of Business Development for IVA. "This agreement positions both companies to capitalize on the demand created by convergence."

"Macrovision's approach is to leverage our large internal resources and create key partnerships with organizations which have strong complementary data offerings and are leaders in the market," said Michael Panagis, senior director of product management at Macrovision. "The agreement with IVA leverages the rich data of both of our companies and enables us to continue to offer our customers an entertainment data solution that is unprecedented in breadth and depth."

IVA counts among its clients some of the biggest names in mobile (i.e. AT&T), consumer electronic (i.e. Sony Bravia) and cable (i.e. Comcast) companies, as well as numerous entertainment (i.e. Fandango.com, TV Guide.com) and retail web sites (i.e. BarnesandNoble.com, VirginMEGA.com). Iva's consumer website, VideoDetective.com, boasts the largest archive of entertainment samples in the world and the most current collection of new titles. Overall, the company has built a promotional network that reaches over 95 million unique visitors per month.
