Confessions of a Bipolar Poet Explores Intense Mood Swings of a Troubled Mind

Writer Phillip E. Hardy, author of "Kingdom of the Hollow, the Story of the Hatfields and McCoys explores the mood swings of Bipolar disorder in a book of poetry written by his late father. During his violent emotional highs and lows, poet Robert E. Hardy chronicled his philosophical, violent, spiritual and romantic feelings akin to a modern day Omar Khayyam who washed down lithium with copious amounts of Irish whiskey.

(PRWEB) January 13, 2009 -- Robert Edgar Hardy was many things during his tumultuous life including fatherless boy, a soldier during World War 2, an aerospace engineer, raging alcoholic and an inmate at a hospital for the criminally insane. He was a lover, husband, father and troubled man who suffered from Manic Depression for most of his adult life. "Confessions of a Bipolar Poet" is a fascinating collection of poems by a man who chronicled his deepest feelings during different stages of mental health. He was an anachronistic individual who tried to live a normal suburban life but eventually succumbed to a tortured existence of extreme behavioral problems and self medication. Writer Phillip E. Hardy, author of Kingdom Of The Hollow, the Story of the Hatfields and McCoys meticulously assembled his father's collection of extraordinary poetry, as well as including one of his Grandfather's World War 1 poems and several of his own contributions. This book delves into the triumphs and tribulations of the human condition and the blurred line between brilliance and madness.
