For the over-50s winter can be a really tough time and keeping warm is hard enough without having to worry about paying for gas and electricity. Our research shows this is an additional worry for many people, so we have listened to these concerns and want to help ease their financial worries.
London, UK (PRWEB) January 13, 2009
As the arctic weather conditions continue to sweep across the nation, almost half of UK over-50s (48 per cent) are worried about paying their winter fuel bill, according to new research by Post Office® Financial Services.*
With temperatures averaging just 6.9 degrees and recent lows of -10**, the costs of heating a home during winter can add further worry to those who are already financially strained.
To ease these concerns the Post Office® is giving any customer taking out its Over-50s life insurance £30 towards gas and electricity equivalent to 16 per cent of their winter fuel bill.***
