Increasingly service providers are creating end-to-end WiMAX solutions spanning multiple vendor's products and the WiChorus SmartCore solution provides a dependable platform that helps ensure compliance of these network elements
San Jose, CA (PRWEB) January 13, 2009
WiChorus, provider of the industry's most scalable platforms for Smart 4G Networks, announced today that the WiMAX Forum® has selected the SmartCoreTM platform for NWIOT (Network Interoperability) Certification setup. Deployed for the past several months, the SmartCore platform is being leveraged to verify Network Interoperability Testing (NWIOT) task group's scripts for R3, R4 and R6 interfaces as the Forum prepares standardized certification of core WiMAX networking equipment, including ASN Gateways, Home Agents and AAA servers.
The WiMAX Forum's NWIOT effort compliments its air interface certification, and is critical to achieving fully interoperable end-to-end WiMAX™ solutions. This effort provides operators further confidence in deploying best-of-breed, multi-vendor WiMAX solutions. The WiChorus SmartCore platform has successfully been integrated in the validation testbed at the ETSI lab, and is providing a reference for testing NWG Release 1, v 1.3 core interfaces.
