Craftster.org, the online online community for crafting and DIY (do it yourself) enthusiasts, names the best DIY crafts in the Craftster Best of 2008. The list ncludes a Barack Obama portrait made entirely of beans, a Skittles wrapper prom dress and more.

Want to know what all the cool kids are crafting these days? Yes, that's right, the cool kids. Craftster.org -- the largest online community for "alternative" diy crafts with over 400,000 readers per month -- has just wrapped up its Best of 2008 list full of the most popular craft projects its members posted in 2008.

So just what are the cool kids crafting? Projects that made the list include: a hand knit Wonder Woman costume, a prom dress made entirely out of Skittles wrappers, a dried bean mosaic of the popular Shepard Fairey image of Barack Obama, a wedding dress made entirely of items from a dollar store, and hundreds more in dozens of craft technique categories.
