Atlanta-based accounting firm, Moore Colson, recently announced the admission of two new partners. Andy Starnes, Partner, Tax Services Practice and Chris Arnone, Partner, Business Assurance Practice. Moore Colson, founded in 1981, is a full-service accounting and consulting firm located in Atlanta, Georgia, providing tax, assurance, real estate, management consulting, estate and financial planning, and IT audit services.

Andy Starnes, formerly a Senior Manager in Moore Colson's Tax Services Practice, joined the firm in 2000 after spending the first years of his career at a Big Four firm, working principally with Fortune 500 companies as a state and local Tax Specialist. At Moore Colson, Andy provides a leadership role and works with the coordination of tax services for clients, planning and organizing engagements, managing the progress of work, maintaining and expanding client relations, suggesting and implementing tax planning ideas, performing research, and supervising staff.

With expertise in federal and state tax planning, Andy's business background includes serving clients in the manufacturing, retail, healthcare, and construction industries.

Andy is a graduate of The University of Georgia (MAcc, Tax Specialization, 1999), and The University of Georgia (B.B.A., Accounting, 1998). He is an active member of The Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants, The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, The UGA Alumni Association and an elder at Eastminster Presbyterian Church.

Chris Arnone, formerly a Senior Manager in Moore Colson's Business Assurance Practice
has over 11 years of experience in public accounting. With extensive experience serving companies in the manufacturing, distribution, construction, service, private equity and venture capital markets, Chris also has significant experience in mergers and acquisition due diligence, employee benefit plans, and not-for-profit organizations.

His responsibilities at Moore Colson include; leadership roles in the firm's audit and accounting practice, coordination of assurance services for clients, technical research and consultation, maintaining and expanding client relationships, suggesting and implementing value-added ideas, and mentoring and training professionals within the Business Assurance Practice.

Prior to joining Moore Colson in 2005, Chris was an Audit Manager with Moore Stephens Tiller, LLC. Chris graduated from the University of Scranton, Scranton PA, with a B.S., Accounting in 1997, where he served as the co-captain on the men's basketball team and received the University's excellence in accounting award.

Chris is an active member of The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and The Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants.
