Robin Gibb Hosts Sunseeker Ball in Aid of Outward Bound Trust

Robin Gibb and other celebrities as well as the winners of the 2008 Festival4Stars talent competition entertained guests at the Sunseeker Charitable Trust Ball in London on 9 January. Held in support of the Outward Bound Trust, the event raised over £250,000.

London, UK (PRWEB) January 15, 2009 -- Robin Gibb and his friends Bill Wyman, The Rhythm Kings, Lulu, Melanie Chisholm, Natasha Hamilton, Beverley Knight, Mark King and Russia's Valeriya were just some of the many stars giving their time and talent to entertain guests and VIPs with a celebration of Bee Gees music at the annual Sunseeker Charitable Trust Ball in aid of The Outward Bound Trust (http://www.outwardbound.org.uk) on Friday 9 January in London.

Co-hosted by Robin Gibb CBE, Robert Braithwaite CBE of Sunseeker International and Master of Ceremonies David 'Kid' Jensen, the event raised in excess of £250,000 for the Trust from the main auction, silent auction and raffle of luxury items generously donated by top companies, celebrities, leading hotels and football clubs. The money will enable 10,000 young people to attend an Outward Bound course this year.

Robin Gibb CBE is the first official celebrity ambassador of The Outward Bound Trust and as part of the evening's entertainment he and the artists also performed with the four winners of the 2008 Festival4Stars talent competition - Jack Robertson age 13 from Edinburgh, Aaron Godfrey-Mayes 14, Newark, Nicole Mitchell 15, Wednesbury and Rebecca Lake 16 from St Helen's. Festival4Stars are also supporters of the Trust.

This year's ball was the second time the Sunseeker International Charitable Trust (http://www.sunseeker.com) has supported The Outward Bound Trust and brings the total raised so far to in excess of £550,000.
