Stun-O-Matic is now available in the iTunes App Store. DS Media Labs created the product in reaction to the public outcry to the use of Stun Guns in Law Enforcement, the high cost of the devices themselves, and liability incurred by the use of traditional Stun Gun type devices.

"Truth be told, there are some fine, fine stun gun products on the market," commented Sheriff Andrew Taylor, "but dollar for dollar, there ain't a better bargain than that there Stun-O-Matic."

Mike Dasch, Designer of the Stun-O-Matic, concurs. "We set out to eliminate the cost to the individual citizen who wants to carry a little protection in their pocket, and to law enforcement agencies small and large. At the very economical price point of $.99 per device, Stun-O-Matic can be purchased by municipalities for their law enforcement agencies at a ratio of hundreds to one over conventional stun gun technology."

"Another of our concerns was liability and the possible costs to law enforcement due to lawsuits. Ever since the landmark ruling against Taser International Inc. last summer, the liability of the conventional stun gun weighs heavily on the minds of Chiefs of Police, Sheriffs and Mayors all over America. We designed a product that has absolutely no lethal potential, because instead of delivering a debilitating electrical shock, it flashes virtual lightning, emits a static-like buzz, and just looks cool. And it can be color coordinated with the law enforcement officers' uniforms by changing the lightning red, blue or green." reports Matt Dailey, DS Media Labs' Director of Business Development.

"Additionally," says Mike Dasch, "there has been a great deal of concern about stun gun technology being disguised as cellular phones." Dasch continues, "We didn't want to fall into the trap of disguising our device as a cell phone, so we have used the full screen of the iPhone to display the Stun-O-Matic, thereby effectively disguising the iPhone as a stun gun!"

The Stun-O-Matic will not stop anyone with a paralyzing shock, but the sheer ridiculousness of the device will likely bring all but the most real aggressors to their knees in hysterical laughter.

Stun-0-Matic is now available on the iTunes App Store. "Protecting the innocent, one volt at a time."
