Data Center Automation Company Posts Largest Sales Numbers To-Date
Austin, Texas (PRWEB) January 15, 2009 -- Phurnace Software, Inc., the Java application deployment company, today announced record-breaking sales for the quarter ending December 31, 2008. While the company did not release specific sales data, Q4 proved to be the biggest sales quarter since the company's inception.
"This was a strong quarter for Phurnace. The investments we have made in our product strategy and development efforts are paying off and beginning to gain market momentum," said CEO Larry Warnock. "While I am still cautious about the outlook for 2009, we appear to be bucking market trends and actually growing sales and customer acquisitions."
The majority of fourth quarter revenue came from new customer wins in the financial services industry, where businesses are seeking to reduce I.T. costs through data center automation.
"The challenging economic climate is forcing companies to invest in additional automation to reduce their I.T. costs," said John Balena, vice president of sales for Phurnace. "Our deals this past quarter went through intense buyer scrutiny, in many cases, beating out alternative spending because of our ability to show return on investment within weeks - instead of months or years."
Phurnace also released several new products in the fourth quarter. Phurnace Deliver™, the company's flagship product, now supports Oracle WebLogic 9.2 and 10g web application servers. In addition, the company extended its deployment automation capabilities to include IBM WebSphere Portal®, one of the industry's leading portal software solutions.
