Pioneer Bank, the only hometown community bank in Dripping Springs, has recently won the contract for all depository services for the City of Dripping Springs through 2013.

"Our request for proposal went out to a number of banks, and after weighing all of the selection criteria, we're proud to award the business to Pioneer Bank. The bank exceeded our expectations for interest rates and service fees, plus they offer a very nice package for City employees," said Michelle Fischer, City Administrator.

"What really impressed us, though, was that Pioneer Bank offers every service that we could possibly be interested in. Other banks that we spoke with couldn't immediately answer our questions about some services without deferring to their headquarters for a reply. Pioneer Bank headquarters right here, across from City Hall. They answered all of our questions in a well informed and quick manner," she continued.

Among the selection criteria in the City's request for proposal were time-deposit interest rates, cost of service, service availability and safety and credit-worthiness.

"We're excited to have Pioneer Bank headquartered in our community. They are a very good example of the kind of business that we'd like to encourage to be here. From their beautiful building and grounds, to the friendliness of their staff, Pioneer Bank is terrific for our community," Ms. Fischer concluded.
