I worked for two weeks straight. It was that important to me.

Democratic Headquarters - The spectacular life-size oil painting "HOPE" was presented by America's favorite portrait artist William Everly to New Jersey Democratic State Committee Executive Director Robert Angelo at State Headquarters on Monday. The painting is being sent to Washington this week. "I will be extremely proud if this painting is hanging in the White House and New Jersey had something to do with it. It's just beautiful," stated Angelo.

William Everly remarked, "The portrait is an historical piece that depicts Mr. Obama as he takes the oath of office as 44th President of the United States. We see the Capital Building where he served as Senator from Illinois and the White House where he will guide our nation. The sun is shining through blue skies onto our Flag and over the fields of heartland America. The President Elect raises his hand to take the oath of office - a gesture that, as the artist, I find to be his gracious gesture of friendship."

William Everly is the New Jersey artist known world-wide for his work in creating hand painted oil portraits from photographs. "I am so proud a New Jersey artist has created such a beautiful work of art to celebrate this historic event," said Angelo. When asked about the length of time required to create the work of art Everly noted, "I worked for two weeks straight. It was that important to me."

Angelo added, " I will work with the Everly Originals team to contact the Transitional team to make sure the painting is sent to the proper contact in Washington; the White House Secretary and Transitional Director. It will go to Washington very soon."

A personal letter from William Everly to the President Elect will accompany the painting.

An 11" x 14" Limited Edition Giclee of this historic portrait will be sold exclusively on HSN and on hsn.com January 17th through the 20th where the only other oil painting of the same will be offered for $18,000.
