It also works both ways where customers and readers can leave feedback and I can get an idea of what's working for me and what isn't. It's a nice way to build that mom-and-pop-styled relationship with someone; it's just over the computer.

Six months ago, Dennis Crooke started his web store, http://www.YourMainStore.com, with the idea that he wanted to provide a one-stop shopping center for people who were looking for a variety of things from movies to books to toys to electronic gadgets.
Having one of the most up-to-date sites for new media, such as DVDs and books, Crooke is able to have prices that rivals other website and goes beyond what the competition offers with his own brand of congenial customer service.
"You know, there are a bunch of a websites who have DVDs and toys and other things, but my key thing is to be able to make sure that people are taken care of," began Crooke. "The first thing is to ensure that their shopping experience is everything that it needs to be."
By having a catalog that is nothing short of impressive and awe-inspiring, Crooke is able to be a leader in internet retail. "I have thousands of products on my site," he said.
Since his initial launch in June 2008, Crooke's site constantly has new products for sale, but one new change is the blog that was launched recently.
Taking a page from the consumers, Crooke developed his own blog in the form of http://www.ModernShoppingBlog.com.
The blog contains product reviews, as well as information about new format changes in media and gift-giving ideas and hints.
"It's a great way to reach out to people," Crooke explained. "It also works both ways where customers and readers can leave feedback and I can get an idea of what's working for me and what isn't. It's a nice way to build that mom-and-pop-styled relationship with someone; it's just over the computer."
Though time and trends could change and dictate the products that appear on YourMainStore.com, what won't change is Crooke's devotion to making sure that people are well taken care of and, in a lot of ways, it's what's missing from businesses these days.
