The renowned Waldorf Astoria and Waldorf Towers in New York City are offering an Inauguration Celebration, to coincide with the nation's upcoming change in leadership. Guests will be immersed in the hotel's profound political history that includes hosting every U.S. President since Herbert Hoover.

A 50% savings for the Waldorf Towers and 25% in the Waldorf Astoria will be available from Inauguration Day (January 20th) through Presidents' Day (February 16th). Rates are:
Suite - Waldorf Towers - $439 a night
Suite - Waldorf Astoria - $319 a night

FIVE-COURSE PRESIDENTIAL TASTING MENU

In addition, guests booking the Inauguration Celebration can enjoy a five-course tasting menu previously prepared for sitting Presidents at the hotel's signature restaurant, Peacock Alley. Reservations are required 48 hours in advance and the cost is $350 dollars per person and includes vintage wines.

The tasting menu will be prepared by Executive Chef, John Doherty, who has cooked for more Presidents, heads of state and royalty than any other in the country. Included in the menu are Seared Scallop with Osetra Caviar and Potato-Chive Mousselin, President Bill Clinton; Poached Turbot with Caviar-Champagne Sauce, President Ronald Reagan; Roast Rack of Lamb with Saffron Potatoes, Candied Eggplant and Pickled Onion, President George H. Bush and Chocolate Extravaganza, President George W. Bush. In addition, a personal favorite of President-elect Barack Obama, Sopa Azteca, will also be included. The meal will be served on the same china used for visiting Presidents.

Another benefit of the stay, guests will receive a guided tour of Executive Suites within the Waldorf Towers including The Royal Suite where the Duke and Duchess of Windsor maintained a permanent residence; The MacArthur Suite, where the big four met to sign the 1946 treaty and The Cole Porter Suite, home to Cole Porter and Frank Sinatra.
