The annual U.S. Ag Associates Conference is being held today through January 21 in Houston, Texas. University professors, researchers, growers, crop consultants and Stoller Group representatives will join in an effort to learn from one another. With individuals from many different backgrounds contributing, results from various experiments and observations from the past year are presented at this technical meeting.
Highlights of the conference include discussions on product development and strategies to increase crop yields. Some of the work presented is theoretical; however, most are practical studies that have been obtained through university research and field trials.
The first meeting of the U.S. Ag Associates Conference was held in Chicago 16 years ago. A small group of consultants and Stoller representatives collaborated to determine how they could learn from each other. The initiative was to share information and conduct field investigations to increase everyone's knowledge.
Today, the U.S. Ag Associates Conference has evolved to attract an attendance of nearly 100 people in 2009, including representatives from more than 20 countries. Despite the much larger scale, the goal remains the same - To share information and discuss progressive ideas in an effort to take agriculture to the next phase of productivity.
The 2009 conference is a 3-day event and will feature university presentations about the impact of Stoller products when applied to a wide variety of crops from many countries. Crops under discussion include soybeans, wheat, coffee and citrus.
Jerry Stoller, CEO and President of the Stoller Group, describes the meeting as a very technical discussion, "There are no entertainment events or golf outings. The primary purpose is for those in attendance to learn and walk away with knowledge they can apply towards their success."
The Stoller Group has a continued commitment to open the forum to more participants with a quest to exchange research and experiences about the use of various Stoller products. With this motive in mind, attendees leave the conference with a wealth of information they can apply in their own or on their customer's operations.
