QuadTech Launches New Power Source Product Line

QuadTech's new power line includes AC Programmable Sources and DC Programmable and Modular Sources.

QuadTech, a leading provider of electrical safety test and passive component measurement solutions, today announced the launch of a new product line. QuadTech will now offer programmable AC and DC power sources and modular DC power supplies. QuadTech's power source (http://www.quadtech.com/power-sources.aspx) line will consist of three series: 31000 AC Programmable Source Series, 42000 DC Programmable Source Series and 43000 Modular DC Supply Series.

QuadTech's 31000 AC Programmable Source Series delivers an excellent price to performance ratio for an instrument grade AC power source. The AC Programmable Power Source Series provides output voltages to 300VAC and frequencies to 1000Hz.

This series can also achieve single phase power ratings from 500VA to 18000VA, but can easily be slaved for 2 or 3 phase applications. The 31000 AC Programmable Source Series is ideal for commercial, medical, avionics and military applications from bench-top testing to mass production. Soft Panel software is also available for control and data collection in laboratory applications.

Robert M. Brown, QuadTech's Vice President of Technical Operations, adds that some products in the 31000 Series are also CaptivATE enabled. "The 31015, 31020 and 31040 AC Programmable Power Sources have been integrated into QuadTech's CaptivATE Automation Software for use in production line applications. These applications can include functional run tests and line leakage testing in combination with electrical safety testing, including ground bond, continuity and hipot."

QuadTech's 42000 Programmable DC Power Source Series includes 9 different models ranging from 600W to 5000W and up to 120A. Each model includes a 16 bit readout capability for accurate voltage and current readings, which alleviates the need for additional instrumentation.

A unique capability of the 42000 Programmable DC Power Source Series is the ability to create complex DC transient waveforms allowing devices to be tested to DC voltage dropouts, spikes and other variations. This feature is ideal for airborne device testing and inverter testing. Additional applications for this series include DC/DC converter & inverter voltage drop test, engine startup simulation, battery automated charging and electronic product life cycle testing.

QuadTech's 43000 Modular DC Power Supply Series offers 5 different types of power modules with a voltage range from 1V to 150V and current to 90A along with two mainframe options; three and six slots.

The 43000 Series have been designed with unique features for burn-in and plating/electrolysis applications such as DC-DC converters, power inverters, battery chargers and many other types of electronic devices. These features include high power densities and hot-swappable maintenance.

These modular power supplies are very cost effective and have optional graphic Soft Panels and USB for control and monitoring using an easy-to-use graphical interface.
