(APS) announced its Version 13 upgrade to its SmartSearch talent acquisition and recruiting business software features advanced research tools to support Web 2.0 sourcing that enables users to search and import data from popular social networking and internet sites, including Google, ZoomInfo, Pipl, and LinkedIn, Facebook and others. The new Version also upgrades performance and reliability of its CSV importing tool using .NET technology, and improved its cell-phone text messaging capabilities.
The arrival of SmartSearch Version 13 marks an updated user-interface, with a streamlined look-and-feel that saves time, and makes navigation and reporting easier than ever. Features include a new Dashboard and redesigned Work-In-Progress menu as well as graphical "reports at a glance" summaries. The more intuitive interface makes extensive use of Ajax technology and adds improvements to administrative functions, particularly in the self-configuration and self-customizable options.
Another major enhancement included in Version 13 is the upgrade of automated emails, event triggers and advanced document management to the SmartSearch HireTrak toolset, all designed to improve communication between candidates, recruiters and hiring managers throughout the hiring process and facilitate on-boarding and off-boarding. This includes the ability to add documents to customizable email templates that embed required forms and documents, built-in notifications and event triggers, and the ability to automatically notify hiring managers, new employees, payroll departments, security departments, etc.

Version 13 also features the addition of several new third-party vendor integrations with leading recruiting industry providers, including web sourcing tools such as Broadlook and AIRS SourcePoint, job posting aggregators eQuest and DataFrenzy, and fully integrated search with Yahoo!-HotJobs to expand search capability. Similar to previous integrations with Monster, CareerBuilder, and Dice, subscribers may now search Yahoo!-HotJobs resume databank from within the SmartSearch application and import selected candidates with a single click.
