RealChangeStories.com Launches to Share Personal Stories of the Obama Campaign

A former Obama presidential campaign volunteer is launching www.RealChangeStories.com, a moderated story sharing site featuring people's personal accounts of the connections forged with total strangers during the course of the Obama campaign. The not-for-profit site is devoted to helping volunteers share their stories about connecting personally with total strangers during the course of the campaign. Each of these stories is significant for the change it represents and the future it will inspire.

Berkeley, CA (PRWEB) January 21, 2009 -- A former Obama presidential campaign volunteer has launched http://www.RealChangeStories.com, a story sharing site devoted to helping volunteers share their stories about connecting personally with total strangers during the course of the campaign. Each of these stories is significant for the change it represents and the future it will inspire.
The site's launch is timed to coincide with the inauguration of President Barack Obama and act as an intimate complement to the ongoing culture of service and civic engagement that President Obama seeks to cultivate.

"What I was most moved by, as a volunteer, were my personal one-on-one interactions with absolute strangers," says Bill Fleig, former Obama campaign volunteer and RealChangeStories.com co-founder. "Getting outside my comfort zone and connecting with people of all walks of life was a profoundly meaningful and life-changing experience. We felt the need to help people share how beautiful it can be to connect with others in the course of what can be exhausting, difficult, and even scary grassroots political work."

Designed in response to the unprecedented volunteer effort in support of Obama's presidential campaign, the site's content is relevant to other progressive volunteer efforts.

For additional information about RealChangeStories.com, to request screenshots, or to speak directly with volunteers who have shared their stories on the site contact Bill Fleig or visit http://www.RealChangeStories.com.
