ThoughtWorks, the Agile pioneers in IT consultancy, today announced the release of Mingle 2.2, an upgrade to its Project Management tool. Mingle 2.2 offers the ability to create custom macros, enhanced user management features and infrastructural compatibility. This release expands the flexibility of Mingle, increases performance and provides more control over user management.
Mingle 2.2 provides the Pluggable Macros with the Mingle Macro Development Toolkit. Complete with a set of working examples and a testing framework, the Mingle Macro Development Toolkit will allow organizations to develop their own visualizations and reports that can be used inside the Mingle Wiki. Mingle is now compatible with Subversion®* 1.5, allowing users of the popular version control system to browse source, link commits to work items and see revisions from within Mingle itself.
"Mingle has always been known for its flexibility. This release adds features that make Mingle much more customizable so that it fits into your environment and integrates with third party tools. In response to our customers' feedback we have further improved Mingle's usability and user management capabilities," said Adam Monago, Mingle Product Manager at ThoughtWorks.
Mingle is a part of ThoughtWorks' Application Lifecycle Management Suite which also includes the recently launched products Cruise (Continuous Integration and Release Management tool) and Twist™ (Collaborative Testing tool).
Mingle 2.2 is available immediately for purchase under both perpetual and annual subscription licenses. In addition, community licenses are available for not-for-profit institutions, academic use, and open-source projects. For a free trial visit: http://www.thoughtworks.com/mingle
