Diana Archer needs a change. Her life has been filled with moments she would rather forget. But when a powerful teacher shows her The Way of Opportunity, she begins a journey that will resonate with anyone seeking the path to happiness.

People can change their life paths by focusing their intentions on what they wish to become. Learn by example from Diana Archer's story in J.R. Maxon's new novel "ReBecoming: The Way of Opportunity" (ISBN 9780981520155, Dassana Press, LLC 2009).

Most people have moments they would rather forget. Diana Archer's life is filled with such moments. She is alone, financially unstable, and in a job with an abusive boss. Despite these difficulties, Diana is afraid to make a change until special circumstances result in her receiving a gym membership. Change begins when she meets Jon, a personal trainer at the gym. But this novel is not a typical romance where a man solves the heroine's problems.

Instead, Diana's personal trainer becomes her teacher by showing her the path to happiness, the Way of Opportunity. Jon awakens Diana to a profound awareness of the preciousness of her life. While Diana has obstacles to overcome, she will also find miracles and romance as she learns that the secrets of the universe have always been available to everyone. Ultimately, Diana experiences a revelation about the most essential truths of all: life, love, and happiness.

In the novel, ReBecoming is defined as "The personal process of continuous change facilitated by an individual's desire and belief that they can: 1. Re-aim their intentions, 2. Re-energize their mind, 3. Rebuild their body, 4. Relinquish their unskillful choices, 5. Recognize and Redefine their happiness, and 6. ReBecome." By depicting this process in fiction, J. R. Maxon provides a practical application of The Way of Opportunity that can be used successfully by anyone.

Maxon hopes readers of "ReBecoming" will find that by practicing its principles, they will know more loving-kindness and find the lives they have always imagined. "I've found I want to teach what I know because knowledge is always to be passed along and truths are always to be shared. Why let someone else suffer from the same affliction?" As Diana found relief and reawakening when she met Jon, so readers discover how "ReBecoming" is possible for them; they relate to Diana's journey and embrace it as their own.
