This Sunday, ABC's Extreme Makeover: Home Edition will feature products from Stray Dog Designs, a premier designer of environmentally friendly lamps and home accessories with offices in Chattanooga, TN and Seattle, WA. The show has won two Emmy Awards for Outstanding Reality Program, two People's Choice Awards, and the Family Television Award for Best Alternative/Reality Program.

Stray Dog Designs was asked to donate our products to Extreme Makeover: Home Edition because helping people and families in need is one of its core values. The company supports artistic tradition and sustainable jobs throughout the world by creating employment where it's needed most -- its products are currently handmade by artisans in Mexico and Haiti, which is one of the most impoverished countries in the western hemisphere; it makes sure its artisans earn a fair, living wage to support their families; and it uses recycled materials and low VOC paints whenever possible.

In addition, the company donates a portion of the purchase price of every Stray Dog Designs product to charities in Mexico and Haiti that serve critical needs like feeding hungry children, building houses for homeless families, or providing healthcare and homes for stray dogs and cats.

But perhaps its greatest gift is the designs themselves. "Design can make you happy," states Stray Dog Designs co-founder and designer Jane Gray. And she knows what she's talking about. For years she's listened to customers rave about her creations with statements like, "it makes me so happy!" or "I just can't help smiling when I look at it."

Families on Extreme Makeover: Home Edition could use that kind of happiness, so Stray Dog donated our fabulous Birdcage Chandeliers, wild Drum Pendants, fun Flower Pendants, fantastic Floor Lamps, and Stools/Accent Tables that are guaranteed to spark up any space with their bright colors and original designs.

Ms. Gray's colorful, organic designs have been featured in numerous publications, including O The Oprah Magazine, O at Home, Coastal Living, Domino, House and Garden, Elle Décor, Better Homes and Gardens, and Country Living. Many of her designs were also featured in HGTV's 2008 Green Home.

Ms. Gray looks forward to seeing a family enjoy our products this Sunday on Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, and she is happy to be able to give to a family that has given so much. After all, that's what Stray Dog Designs is all about!

The episode Extreme Makeover: Home Edition that will feature Stray Dog Designs products airs on ABC this Sunday, January 25th at 8:00 PM EST. Check local listings for show times in your area.
