Groove Leather®, a manufacturer of fine upholstery leather, now offers the Interior Design Trade with web-based tools to specify custom leather for corporate, residential, and hospitality projects. Groove Leather's web site (http://www.grooveleather.com) provides on-line capabilities not currently available in the industry, giving interior designers greater control and satisfaction over the leather specification process.
Through its licensing agreement with PANTONE®, Groove Leather offers thousands of colors for custom leathers. "Every design library has access and knowledge of PANTONE's color guides," comments David Adler, Groove Leather founder and President. "It seemed logical to integrate a familiar interior design tool into the leather specification process. Now designers can look beyond the limitations of their design library shelves, and easily create upholstery leathers that meet the specific need of their clients."
Soon, continues Mr. Adler, "we look forward to implementing additional web-based capabilities, which will provide designers the same flexibility and ease in ordering COL that consumers have grown comfortable and accustomed to purchasing books, clothing, and electronics."
Groove Leather's manufacturing facility is located domestically, putting it under 500 miles to major markets in the mid-Atlantic, New England, and the Ohio Valley. This is an important consideration for firms doing business in these areas and looking to satisfy certain Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) standards. In addition, the factory has its own waste treatment plant, which meets strict EPA regulations.
Groove Leather stocks a variety of aniline, semi-aniline, nubuck, and hair-on-hide leathers for just-in-time needs. The company has established partnerships with European tanneries, and imports and stocks leathers for immediate shipment.
