New York (PRWEB) January 28, 2009
RFID Journal, the world's leading media and events company focused on radio frequency identification, announced today that it has partnered with EPCglobal to offer a new EPC Standards and Benefits track at RFID Journal LIVE! 2009. RFID Journal's seventh annual conference and exhibition will be held on April 27-29, 2009, at the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Hotel in Orlando. This unique event is the one place where companies across the world can hear from industry leaders and see how RFID is benefiting early adopters.
"EPCglobal has been working hard to not just develop standards but also to communicate the benefits companies who implement RFID systems based on those standards are achieving today," says Mark Roberti, founder and editor of RFID Journal. "This track will help those who are being asked to tag shipments for customers and those who just want to understand how they can deploy EPC-based technology in their supply chains."
RFID technology based on Electronic Product Code (EPC) standards is being adopted in many industries, including retail/consumer-packaged goods, health care/pharmaceuticals, chemicals, manufacturing and apparel. In the EPC Standards and Benefits track, attendees will learn how to implement EPC standards, and how to use them to drive value, both internally and across the supply chain. Session in this track will include:
"We're extremely pleased to work with RFID Journal to bring this education to attendees at RFID Journal LIVE! 2009," says John Seaner, VP and general manager at EPCglobal US. "RFID Journal LIVE! is the world's premier RFID event, and attendees are eager to learn how they can deploy EPC RFID technologies to improve their businesses."
RFID Journal LIVE! 2009 will feature eight industry-specific and how-to conference tracks, seven in-depth preconference seminars, fast-track CompTIA RFID+ training and certification, four co-located events, the RFID Journal Awards, and technology exhibits and demonstrations conducted by leading RFID companies worldwide. The event will focus on how all types of RFID can be used to reduce costs and improve efficiencies.
The 120,000-square-foot exhibit hall will feature companies demonstrating the latest active, Wi-Fi, passive ultrahigh-frequency (UHF) and passive high-frequency (HF) solutions. Motorola, whose RFID offerings are designed to help companies simplify deployment, lower operational costs and achieve a return on investment, will be the event's cornerstone and registration sponsor, while Microsoft will be the signature sponsor and IBM will be the premier sponsor. In addition, other leading RFID companies will exhibit at the event as well. To become an exhibitor, contact sales@rfidjournal.com.
