Four new Apple iPhone and iPod touch applications customize access to worldwide directories of TV networks, radio stations, print media, RSS feeds, and Web pages.

NuageProduction has released four applications for the Apple iPhone and iPod touch that help users customize access to thousands of international media sources.

The NuageProduction solutions enable users to personalize content index from ever-expanding directories of TV networks, radio stations, print media, RSS feeds, and Web pages. The applications work on 3G, Edge and Wi-Fi networks, and in Airplane Mode with unique streaming and downloading options. Video access requires a Wi-Fi connection.

Three of the four applications - NuagePapers, NuageTV and NuageRadio - are free on the Apple App Store or at http://itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewArtist?id=299066299. A fourth application - NuagePlayer - combines the other three applications, includes added features, and is available for $3.99.

Version 1.0 of the applications includes thousands of worldwide links to TV shows, live radio programs, podcasts, newspaper front pages, and RSS feeds. NuagePlayer is the only application that combines access to all media and offers automated downloads of the latest refreshed enclosures per feed. NuagePlayer users also can add their own feeds to the provided links.

NuageProduction President Frederic Sigal said, "These unique applications allow consumers to stay connected to critical information - anytime and anywhere. Our solutions provide consumers with unprecedented convenience and media content providers with a new means of reaching their audiences on their terms. For consumers, we provide access to deferred content, ensuring that they can access content made available on the Web by media companies whenever they wish, even without network connection."

Sigal said the company will soon release a fifth application - NuageProtect - for enterprise and mobile users who wish to safeguard or geographically limit access to documents or other content. The geolocalization features, for which a patent is pending, enable companies to restrict access to content only within authorized boundaries or networks.

"Our revolutionary geolocalization features not only regionally customize media content for consumers, but they also can secure important documents for business users by providing boundaries for access," Sigal said. "With geolocalization, a user's information is accessible without a laptop, but it's safe, even if the device is lost. This patent-pending feature, through 'permanent mirroring' of source content, ensures that content is accessed, updated or deleted on the mobile device at the discretion of the source."

NuageProduction plans to introduce versions of the applications for the Android, Blackberry, Windows mobile, Nokia, Mac OS X, and Windows platforms. The company is in advanced discussions with global media companies about a variety of potential content-related and advertising partnerships.

"The media companies we have been in discussions with in the U.S. and Europe recognize the value of the NuageProduction applications," Sigal said. "Our branded players for media companies enable maximum distribution of their content on the mobile channel. They realize that we are working to foster and enhance consumer access to their content which is not modified in any way by our solutions."
