Midbrook Now Offers Custom Metal Fabrication for Hospitals

Midbrook, Inc, a Jackson based manufacturer, is expanding their custom fabrication offerings to include products for use in hospitals. Midbrook will custom design and build metal fabricated items such as cabinetry, work stations, surgical tools, and carts for use in the medical environment.

(Vocus/PRWEB ) January 27, 2009 -- Midbrook, Inc began work as a custom sheet metal fabrication house over 30 years ago. They are now bringing that experience to the world of medical fabrication. Using their experience as an industrial fabrication house, Midbrook hopes to bring their ability to construct durable, customized, easy to use and install metal fabrication products into hospitals around the country.

“In our research, we’ve found that most hospitals order their fabricated metal products from a catalog,” said Midbrook Business Development Manager Jamie Crowley.

Catalog items do offer convenience to customers, but the products cannot be altered for specific needs. Midbrook, employing their knowledge and experience in the fabrication business, is able to custom build the same products without added cost.

Midbrook offers numerous customizable products for use in the hospital environment.

“We can make steel carts, cabinetry, surgical tools, and anything that is constructed out of metal,” said Crowley.

“We also offer Corian solutions, which can be used for work space countertops, scrub sinks, or other similar applications.”

Corian is a solid surface material that does not support the growth of mold or bacteria, making it ideal for places where health is paramount – such as a hospital. Corian work surfaces can be installed over other surfaces, as well. With Michigan guidelines changing to end the use of particle board and plastic laminate solutions for work surfaces, Corian is an easy to install and maintain alternative surface that is growing in popularity.

“Corian is a durable material that hospitals are very interested in due to the new regulations regarding work surfaces,” said Crowley.

Midbrook stainless steel products such as cabinets and carts are also known for their durability. Midbrook uses their in-house lasers and press brakes to perform most of their fabrication, keeping costs low and allowing for easy customization of material for different customers.

“We can custom design cabinets to make sure that they fit in your available space, instead of designing the space to fit the cabinets,” said Crowley. “That means you can have greater flexibility in the products you order than when you order from a catalog with standardized products.”

“The same principle applies to our carts; they can be modified to fit through your hallways or entry ways easier than a catalog item for the same price,” Crowley said.
