Norman, OK (PRWEB) January 26, 2009
Fran Corpier in cooperation with Yuwie.com and Yuwie Radio is producing the second annual Bloggie 0scars for the social networking site on Friday, January 30 at 11 P.M. Eastern Standard Time. The red-carpet, virtual event takes place in a blog: http://yuwie.com/frannieann/. Winners will be announced live over http://ustream.tv/channel/fran-live and Yuwie Radio.
The second annual Bloggie 0scars honor the best content creators on Yuwie from 2008. "I'm awarding seventeen main categories and five supporting content categories, this year, plus some unannounced awards," said Fran Corpier, host and producer of the virtual event.
This year, nominees were taken from the membership at large. Eighty top providers for the Social Network were nominated. They have been encouraged to bring an escort and arrive in limos, motorcycles, golf carts, or dream "rides". All virtual. Thanks to Photoshop(tm) and similar image manipulation programs.
Talent Showcase Radio, out of Branson Missouri, will D.J. and co-M.C. the Bloggie 0scars from Ustream. Friends of the recipients have been invited to cheer their friends when awards are announced. "Cheering" is typing or pasting image comments onto the blog.
A "Green Room" will be set up for Internet Radio, Podcasters, and Press to interview Bloggie 0scar Award winners. Red Carpet arrival interviews, however, will be a "free for all", just like last year," said Corpier.
Bloggie 0scar categories include "Health and Welfare", "Concept", "Inspired", "News", and "Artistic". Supporting content categories include "Club", "Photography", "Travel Photos", and "Layout". A list of linked nominations is available.
Fran Corpier, an active database and internet application developer and publisher, was voted Best Yuwie in 2007. Corpier was one of the initial hosts invited to launch Yuwie Radio in March 2008 by founder, Korry Rogers. Bloggie 0scar is spelled with a leading zero, so as not to be confused with the trademarked and unrelated award for movies.
