MOREnet, the provider of Internet connectivity and services to the public sector in the state of Missouri, has recently selected Netsweeper Inc. as its partner for Internet Content Filtering solutions.

Netsweeper, Inc., a global provider of Internet content filtering solutions, is thrilled to announce it has been selected as the filtering solution of choice for the Missouri Research and Education Network (MOREnet). This decision will see MOREnet, a provider of Internet and accompanying services to Missouri's public sector, provide Netsweeper's Internet content filtering solutions to its consortium members including K-12 schools, colleges, universities, public libraries, state government, teaching hospitals and clinics and other affiliates.

"Netsweeper is absolutely thrilled about partnering with MOREnet. The capabilities of the Netsweeper filtering platform are ideally suited for the MOREnet membership. With such a mix of members and whether they elect to subscribe to a MOREnet hosted filtering service or host the solution within their own network, the set-up and management of the Netsweeper platform operates the in the very same manner, without compromising the performance of the core Internet service whatsoever," commented Mick Sharpe, Director of Business Development for Netsweeper.

Andrew Coutts, President and COO of Netsweeper added, "Netsweeper has been around a long time and we have only focused on one thing, - to provide high-quality filtering solutions that work. Understanding that we are replacing the service's original filtering solution, we are confident that our solution and technical support team combined with our experience will meet and exceed the objectives put forth by MOREnet."

It is expected that all existing MOREnet members subscribing to this alternative filtering service will be transitioned over to the Netsweeper platform by July 1, 2009. MOREnet and Netsweeper project teams are already engaged to ensure this transition is fluid.

"We are excited about teaming up with Netsweeper. Throughout the process, it became apparent that Netsweeper not only understood our requirements but had the product features our subscribers are seeking. Key features such as delegating and customizing administration rights and remote filtering capabilities for laptops are major items for our members. Offering a service that can either be implemented and accessed as a hosted solution on the MOREnet network or installed on the member's premise allows us the opportunity to continue to support all subscribers in a manner that is best suited for them," said Charles Steinhaus, Network Engineer at MOREnet.

Charles added, "This relationship will be positive for all parties involved, with our members being the real winners in the end and that's really what counts."
