Westport, CT (PRWEB) January 28, 2009
Recent media and analyst coverage around Cloud Computing and SaaS has often neglected the emerging ecosystem that is forming around these disruptive technology waves - and how ecosystem partners and customers alike can best leverage these trends to their advantage. These are two key research themes that will be highlighted at the upcoming Parallels Summit 2009 conference by Saugatuck Technology founder and CEO Bill McNee, which begins on Monday February 2nd at the Mandalay Bay, in Las Vegas, Nevada.
On Tuesday, February 3rd, Mr. McNee will first moderate the closing keynote panel entitled Weathering the Storm: Finding Silver in the Clouds. Joining Mr. McNee will be hosting industry heavyweights Morris Miller, founder of Rackspace, Andreas Gauger, founder 1&1, and Bernie Meyerson, VP Strategic Alliances and CTO at IBM (STG). In addition to wrapping up and summarizing some of the key themes from the first day of the event, the panel will focus on the changing landscape brought about by Cloud Computing, how Cloud Computing is transforming the traditional hosting business, what are the competitive threats, and what hosters should be doing now.
On Wednesday, February 4th, Mr. McNee will open day two of the event with a keynote entitled Blue Skies? Clearing the Air on Cloud Computing and SaaS. In this presentation, McNee will share recent findings from Saugatuck's ongoing research into Cloud Computing and SaaS, including a new Cloud Computing ecosystem framework that helps bring clarity and shape to this emerging computing phenomenon.
"I am delighted to again participate in this important industry event, focused on two of the most disruptive forces driving change in Enterprise IT - Cloud Computing and SaaS," shared McNee.
