PokerSource.com Winter Poker League Kicks Off
The 2009 PokerSource.com Winter Poker Leagues have begun, bringing members of the popular poker community together. On the line are thousands of PSO Points that can be exchanged for gift certificates to major retailers and poker merchandise. The winners will also receive entries into the PokerStars Sunday Million.
San Jose, Costa Rica (PRWEB) January 28, 2009 -- The excitement of the PokerSource.com Poker League is back. The winter versions kicked off in January with a total of 15 tournaments on the docket, each with an affordable $5.50 buy-in. The Deuces and Ducks leagues got underway on January 17th and January 18th, respectively, on PokerStars, one of the world's most popular online poker rooms. Players who have signed up for PokerStars through PokerSource.com are eligible to play and the top seven tournament scores count; so it's not too late to get involved.
First place in each individual tournament will be awarded 5,000 PSO Points. Second place takes home 3,000 PSO Points and third place banks 1,000 PSO Points. At the end of the 15 week leagues, the champion wins 20,000 PSO Points (the equivalent of $200) plus a buy-in to the $215 PokerStars Sunday Million, which has a guarantee of $1.5 million. The top four on the leaderboard at the end of each league are guaranteed at least 5,000 PSO Points and other bonus prizes are available. The Deuces league runs every Saturday, while the Ducks league takes place every Sunday. Texas Hold'em, Omaha, HORSE, HOSE, and Stud tournaments are on the schedule, assuring everyone a chance to compete in a wide variety of poker games.
PokerSource.com members have also been buzzing about the return of Titan Poker to the free poker gifts promotion. PokerSource.com members will be given 12,000 PSO Points just for signing up for Titan Poker. These can be exchanged for gift certificates to online and brick and mortar retail outlets, Nevada Jacks chip sets, as well as a host of poker paraphernalia. Titan Poker is one of the cornerstones of the iPoker Network. The site is gearing up for its $2.5 Million Guaranteed tournament, which will be held on Sunday, March 1st.
