InventHelp®, America's leading inventor service company, announces that one of its clients, an inventor from Seville, Ohio, has designed a religious-themed board game that would simulate a journey to heaven. This invention is patented and a prototype is available.
The "Stairway to Heaven Game" would be designed to be fun and educational, and would be suitable for all ages. The game presents players with "good" and "bad" moral issues and other challenges that help or hinder their progress toward "heaven's gate." The game could be played by two or more individuals at a time.
The game set would include a board, angel-shaped playing pieces with different-colored bases, crowns, faux jewels, dice and separate decks of cards entitled "Guide," "Jewel" and "Chance." The game board would feature an outer set of squares, as well as three sets of "steps" leading to the Judgment Platform, located below the gates of heaven. If players land on a "Guide Card" space, they would choose a card, read the directions aloud and hold it until that have received the seven jewels needed to ascend the steps. If players land on a "Jewel Card" space, they would choose a card, receive the jewel depicted on the card and place it on their crown. Players may also earn jewels on the stairways if their playing pieces land on a "Good Deed" space. Players landing on a "Take a Chance" space must have another player read the information on the card aloud, and if the player answers the question correctly, he or she would earn a jewel and move their token forward. If players have received all seven jewels and are on the judging platform, they would have a player pick up a "Chance Card" and read it to them. If the player on the steps answers incorrectly, he or she would wait one turn and then get asked another question. Players who answer the question correctly have made it to "heaven" and have won the game.
