Reed Construction Data Releases Federal Stimulus Projects

Over 18,000 proposed infrastructure projects to create jobs; stimulate economy available at www.reedconstructiondata.com/fsp.

Norcross, GA (PRWEB) January 30, 2009 -- Reed Construction Data today released a report of proposed Federal Stimulus Projects, listing over 18,000 reported infrastructure projects representing an investment of nearly $150 billion that would be capable of producing an estimated 1.6 million jobs in 2009 and 2010.

Visitors to www.reedconstructiondata.com/fsp can register and download Federal Stimulus Project reports divided by region: northeast, southeast, central and west. Listed project information includes title, location, value, scope and notes.

Reported projects were released as a part of the MainStreet Economic Recovery Plan in which The U.S. Conference of Mayors asked cities across the nation to report infrastructure projects that are "ready to go." Projects are said to meet local infrastructure needs, contribute to local economic development goals and can be funded quickly through existing federal channels. These projects have not yet been validated by Reed Construction Data and may not proceed to funding.

"The proposed economic stimulus package has the potential to drive a significant number of construction project opportunities in this very challenging economy," said Rich Remington, Vice President of Product Development, Reed Construction Data. "Reed Construction Data is committed to getting this information into the hands of those in the construction industry as quickly as possible and to maintain the information on an on-going basis."

Registrants will be notified when updates to Federal Stimulus Projects become available.
