Savvy businesses throughout the country are tapping into the excitement of the Pittsburgh vs. Arizona Big Game on February 1st to generate foot traffic and drive sales, thanks to the sports promotions they have launched in conjunction with Dallas-based SCA Promotions.

Capitalizing on the excitement and universal appeal of the championship football game, businesses from radio stations to a national pizza chain are connecting with consumers through big-prize promotions tied to a game play or to the final score.

Papa John's customers who register online or via SMS before the Big Game will win a 25 cent pizza and a free 20-oz Coke Zero if the opening kickoff of the game is returned for a touchdown. In Dallas, Radio Station K104 has teamed with local dealership DriversSelect to offer twenty lucky listeners the chance to win a new car by predicting the final score of the Big Game. And in South Carolina, Thunder Tower Harley Davidson is driving traffic to its motorcycle dealership by inviting customers to register for its Big Play contest and watch the game at their party. If either opening-half kickoff is returned for a touchdown, one registered customer will win a 2008 Rocker Harley. Additional prizes are available for other Big Plays.

"Sports promotions tied to Big Games are powerful because they have universal appeal and enable businesses to really connect with and engage their customers," said Tanya Mathis, Marketing Director of SCA Promotions. "Whether it's football, baseball, basketball, hockey or any other sport, we can help businesses design a compelling promotion that grabs the attention of their customers - all for a fraction of the actual prize value being offered. We do this by calculating the odds of the promotional event happening and then taking on the promotional risk. If a win occurs, SCA pays the cost of the prize so the business can award the winner."
