Revamped Recreation Magazine Promotes an Active Lifestyle in Richmond, VA

SBQ: Sports Backers Quarterly is the premier magazine for sports and recreation in Richmond, VA.

Richmond, VA (PRWEB) January 31, 2009 -- SBQ: Sports Backers Quarterly begins 2009 with a new look and big plans! The print publication, which launched in the summer of 2007, is gearing up for the new year with increased distribution, a new look, and some exciting changes.

SBQ Magazine is a free bimonthly publication that covers athletics, recreation, and healthy living throughout the Greater Richmond region. Each issue provides news, features, health tips and event listings for sports and recreation activities in the area. In addition, each issue is put entirely online at (www.SBQnow.com) SBQ: Sports Backers Quarterly Magazine with a full inventory of previous issues.

"In 2009, Palari Publishing is partnering with the Sports Backers organization to continue producing a high-quality publication that promotes a healthy lifestyle and features local athletes and their stories," said publisher, Ted Randler. "This is an exciting time for athletics and recreation in our community. With the challenging economy, people are going back to basics and focusing on local events and a healthy lifestyle. We are helping to make that easier by providing all of the necessary information in one publication."

Also new this year, the magazine goes from four to six times a year and will feature two premium issues that will include race programs. The magazine publishing schedule is March, May, July, September, November, and January. The March issue will include the official program for the Ukrop's Monument Avenue 10K, and the November issue will have the program for the SunTrust Richmond Marathon. Circulation for the magazine is 30,000 and rises to 135,000 for the March and November issues. The publication will also be widely distributed throughout the Greater Richmond region.
The magazine is supported by affordable advertising, and advertisers may supply their own ads or have SBQ create an ad for them at no additional charge. SBQ strongly believes in giving its advertisers the most for their ad dollars. Businesses that wish to reach fans of the sports and recreation in Richmond should consider advertising in SBQ Magazine.

"We encourage everyone to attend an event or even participate in an activity that they may not have done before," said Randler. "We believe it's time to go back to the basics, and focus on our health and our active community. And for the most trusted information, go to SBQ Magazine."
