I promote adopting or going to shelters. I've had too many experiences with dogs and puppies who've been abused and the blog will address the conditions that they have to live in.

According to a 2008 study conducted by the National Council on Pet Population, Study and Policy and published by the Humane Society of the United States, approximately six to eight million cats and dogs enter shelters each year, with half of those animals euthanized.
Margaret Nalley is a dedicated pet lover who launched the pet rescue information website, http://www.Pets-R-Fun.com, in the summer of 2008. Placing an emphasis on the Carin Terrier breed, the general care and know how that Nalley has put into her site is applicable for most pets that are found in shelters.
"I wanted to educate people on the puppy mills and I eventually added products and food that a dog would need," she said. "That's how it basically got started."
In addition to the prudent information outlined on the site, Nalley has pet supplies, medication, toys and foods available on Pets-R-Fun.com, with more to come.
"We'll be adding new products and expanding info on training techniques and adoption," said Nalley. "I'll be supplying products and information that will help consumers, pet lovers and advocates."
A new expansion is Nalley's blog, http://www.CarinTerrierBlog.com.
A natural extension of Pets R Fun, the blog focuses on additional information about the care of Carin Terriers, as well as additional posts about the benefits of adopting puppies and dogs.
"I don't promote buying puppies from mills or stores," Nalley explained. "I promote adopting or going to shelters. I've had too many experiences with dogs and puppies who've been abused and the blog will address the conditions that they have to live in."
Nalley practices what she posts about as she also helps rescue, transport and fosters dogs until they find permanent homes. "We get dogs from puppy mill auctions and take them into our organization and make sure that they are able to have a safe environment until they find a family to adopt them," she said.
While so many websites stray away from the truth about the treatment of animals, Pets-R-Fun.com reflects the truth of the matter, but informs people that there is a light at the end of the tunnel for these dogs in the form of an adoption into a good home.
