Thrust Interactive, an innovative game development studio, announces the launch of its new website at

Inspired by classic video games and iconic sci-fi, the site "is designed to evoke a game-like experience," explains Creative Director Jerry Koepp. "We wanted to create something that wasn't common or traditional or expected. Something that would really get the user interested in what we do."

The Flash-based site is anchored by streamlined graphics and crisp, bold text. But it's the subtle nuances - an Asteroids-meets-Battlestar Galactica-themed motion graphics and animation and continually shifting color gradations in the background - that give the site a refreshingly unique and clever edginess.

And, like any engaging online game, "the site provides a challenge," says President Lukas Bradley. "From a visual and interactive standpoint, it exhibits subtleties that a user might not find at first. With modern interactive experiences, the 'eureka' factor is extremely important, and it's these ancillary user 'achievements' that take the site from decent to unforgettable."

That's not to say that the site is all play and no work. Pertinent information about Thrust Interactive's game writing and design services, Java and Flash development skills, and past and present projects - including kid-based virtual worlds and - is readily available and, in keeping with the gaming motif, is easy to access through both keyboard and mouse navigation.

"I absolutely love (the) new site," says renowned game designer and professor Brenda Brathwaite, Chair, Interactive Design and Game Development Program, Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD). "It has a very different feel than anything I've seen recently. For me, the biggest plus is that it feels like a game when I'm looking at it. Well done."

"Thrust Interactive has consistently proven itself as a dependable provider of server-side development for massive-multiplayer online games and virtual world communities," says Bradley. "However, we've always wanted to be afforded the opportunity to express our graphical design and Flash / Flex client side development talents. The new website allows us to show off and experiment a little. In the coming months, we will be releasing more game design content and graphical elements to the site. We're even planning on having a multiplayer game running in real-time in the backdrop. We consider this site our on-going art and user experience project."
